NAHA Thanks All For This Year’s Great Tire Recycling Event

The Northfield News

The Tire Recycling Event held on July 16th and 17th was a great success!

With the help of Vermonters Helping Vermonters, Northfield Amateur Hockey Association (NAHA) recycled 278 vehicle tires and raised funds for the upcoming hockey season.

Vermonters Helping Vermonters is a company based in Wolcott, Vermont. They collect and recycle all types of used tires. Tires that pass state inspection are recycled back to help low income families. Worn out tires are turned into rubber mulch for use on playgrounds.

Vermonters Helping Vermonters is involved in the Tires for Warmth program and they also work closely with the Vermont Department of Labor and the American Red Cross.

We would like to thank everyone who worked so hard to make this event happen said Kristi Partlow who coordinated the event.
