Robin Ashford, 47, of Northfield Vermont passed away peacefully on Thursday August 19, 2010 at Central Vermont Medical Center, with her family close by. This ended her brave battle with cancer for the past two years

Robin was born in Montpelier on October 22, 1962 to Forrest and Judith Ashford. Robin attended Montpelier and Northfield Schools. After School Robin worked various jobs in central Vermont, her last being at Central Vermont Home Health.

Robin was previously married to Ralph Ayers of Northfield.

Robin is survived by her soul mate Michael Lemieux of Northfield, her three children, Benjamin and wife Christian Ashford, Ryanne Ayers, Jonathan Ayers, and her two grandchildren Sophia and Jared Ashford, Her stepchildren Justin Lemieux, Alysia Lemieux and Crystal and husband Daniel Lamont, step grandchildren Taylor, Kylie, and Colby of Randolph and Bethel. . She also leaves her Mother Judith Ashford and Siblings; Kyle Ashford and Angel Archer of Northfield, Melodie Ashford and Mike Cushing of Montpelier, and Holly and Jeff Gaudet of Northfield, One niece and six nephews also many other friends and relatives. Robin is predeceased by her Father Forrest C. Ashford and son Paul Ayers.

Robin loved her home and working in her gardens. She also loved spending time at her family camp on Newark Pond. Vermont. She had a great passion for planting and tending flower gardens, bird watching, fishing and spending time with her cat Spooky. Robin loved assisting people in need. As a member of the Sorrell-Maynard American Legion auxiliary post 63 Robin assisted her community through her love of cooking and baking. Robin’s love for helping people continued even after she was sick with her work at Central Vermont Home Health.

A memorial luncheon will be held on August 27, 2010 at 1:00 pm at the American Legion hall in Northfield. It was Robin’s wish to have a private burial.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Central Vermont Home Health in appreciation for the wonderful care she has received this year.
