Photo courtesy Vermont State Police Someone robbed the Randolph National Bank in Williamstown last week.

A male entered the bank and brandished a handgun then fled the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash in a vehicle heading north on Rt. 14 according to police.

The car had VERMONT REGISTRATION: EXP 543 and was a 1997 4-door Honda Accord, Dark in color with after market clear brake light covers.

The Vermont State Police have been in contact with the registered owner of the vehicle and they are speaking with that person as part of this investigation.

The male is described as a white male, fair skin, approximately 18 years old, height: Approximately 5’7”, Weight: Approximately 130 lbs., wore glasses w/silver frame with black baggy pants and a black baggy hoodie.

There were no customers in the bank at the time of the robbery, however there were three tellers. There were no reported injuries.

The Vermont State Police and the Orange County Sheriff’s Department were on scene investigating the incident.

Anyone who may have witnessed the event or seen the above mentioned vehicle, or any suspicious vehicles or persons in the area around the time of the robbery is asked to call the Vermont State Police Middlesex Barracks at 802-229-9191.

The last time the same bank was held up was in 2004. There were no customers in the bank at the time according to police.
