On August 22, 2010, after a brief illness, Dorothy Moseley Brodnax, 92, died peacefully surrounded by her family in Frederick, MD.

Dorothy grew up in Northfield on Vine Street, and graduated from Northfield High School in the class of 1936.

In the forties, she moved to Washington, DC where she worked for the Coast & Geodetic Survey and met and married Edwin Brodnax. Ed preceded her in death in 1982.

Dot was a successful real estate agent in Bethesda, MD for many years, later moving to Phoenix, AZ.

For the past eight years she has lived with her daughter in Frederick, MD.

She is survived by two children – Cynthia Buckley of Frederick, and John Brodnax of Phoenix, AZ; also by seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a brother whom she became aware of and met for the first time in 2009, John Schwenger of Bend, OR.

No memorial service is planned. She will be interred next to Ed in Arlington National Cemetery. Contributions can be made in her name to the American Heart Association.
