Vermont Woodworkers To Hold Show In Woodstock On Saturday & Sunday
The Vermont Wood Manufacturers Association (VWMA) will be hosting its Seventh Annual Vermont Fine Furniture & Woodworking Festival on Saturday & Sunday, September 25 & 26 at the Union Arena in Woodstock.
Over 50 Vermont woodworking companies will have their best product for sale and on display all weekend. Fine furniture, carvings, flooring, accessories, cabinetry, and much more will be at your fingertips under one roof. There is something for every room of your home or office and for every style.
The bi-annual Vermont Fine Furniture & Wood Products Design Competition and Student Woodworking Competition will be hosted at the 2010 Festival. Professional woodworkers & students will display their finest work for judging by industry professionals and the public. Vote for your favorite piece and favorite booth display.
Great prizes and entertainment for all. The Barnard General Store will provide locally grown food for sale to fuel the hungry shoppers. Kids are more than welcome and we will have activities to keep them entertained while mom and dad are viewing the fine Vermont made wood products. Woodworking demonstrators will be turning bowls, making Windsor chairs, carving figurines and bears, and much more.
New this year is the Best of Vermont Showcase, sponsored by Cabot Creamery Cooperative, where a local interior designer, Lisa Laberge Interiors of Dorset, will exemplify how to decorate & furnish your entire home or office with Vermont made product.
As always the Festival will partner with the Marsh Billings Rockefeller National-Historical- Park for their annual Forest Festival Weekend. The Park will host woodworking and sawmill demonstrations, forest walks, educational activities, and events for the whole family. Tour their historic mansion or walk through their beautiful gardens and grounds. A complimentary shuttle will be available to transport attendees between locations. Parking at the Union Arena is free of charge and admission is $10 for those 18 and over (under 18 free). Bring home your piece of Vermont.
