Annual Book and Cookie Sale: The Friends of the Library are hosting
the annual book and cookie sale at the library. Everything is by
donation. We will have tables of books and goodies. All proceeds go
to the library. Saturday, May 20 starting at 9am. We are a great place
to watch the 11am parade.
Tech Day: Join our clerk Tim Betts for an hour of technology. Bring
your i-pad, kindle, lap-top, or phone to learn how they work or ask
questions about them. Saturday, May 20 10:30am
Project Circle: Bring handwork to do, come for fresh ideas, meet
new people with an interest in crafts. Helen Johnson will lead the
group and answer questions. Saturday, May 20 10am No registration
VT READS 2017: The library is teaming up with the Williamstown
Middle/High School to read Brown Girl Dreaming by Jacqueline
Woodson. There will be an inter-generational discussion of the book
on Wednesday, May 31 at the High School 6pm. You can pick up a
book from the library. Free. Open to all.
Thank-You High Mowing Seed Company: High Mowing Seed
Company in Wolcott, VT has generously donated packets of vegetable
and flower seeds to the library for our seed library. Come in and take
what you need, leave what you don’t need. We accept opened seed
packets as long as they are labeled with what is in them. Try something
new in your garden or pick up an old standby. First come first
serve. FREE.
Summer Youth Program: Prevent the summer slide! Our summer
youth flyer is ready and has many programs for different ages. Come
and pick one up from the library or check our website for details
under Library Programming on our main menu.
Our Local Food Shelf Needs Donations: We are a drop off site for
the local food shelf. We accept non-perishable food items, toiletries
and even pet supplies. Look for the pink bin inside the library.
Presently the Food Shelf is seeking toiletries as a top need.
Storytime: Storytime is 11:30 am on Wednesdays Stories, a craft
and songs with Ms. Snow, our librarian. No need to register, just
come. You do not need to be a resident to attend. This is a great way
to meet new families. Free
Storytime Changes in June: For the summer months, Storytime
will be going back to 10 am. It will begin the first Wednesday in June.
(June 7th). Geared for youth 0 to 6 but open to all ages.
Afternoon Tea Fundraiser: Our Board of Trustees is hosting an
afternoon Ffundraiser Tea, Saturday, June 3rd at 1pm. Homemade
soup, sandwiches, tea and desserts. Tickets are $12 Adult and $5
Youth. Reservations are required. Stop into the library to purchase
your tickets. All proceeds go to the library. Tea to be held at the
Williamstown Masonic Temple. We will hold a raffle at the Tea for
purchasing a felt/magnetic board for our weekly Storytime. Please
