Construction Update
Roxbury Northfield (VT 12A)

Project Location: The project extends along VT 12A from
about 3/4 of a mile north of the Granville/Roxbury Town Line
in Roxbury to the Northfield Village Limits for a distance of
9.6 miles.
ROUGH ROAD – VT 12A between Roxbury and Northfield
has a gravel road surface. Drivers are warned to exercise
extreme caution on granular surfaced roadways in a work
zone. Punctured tires and windshield damage could occur
if material flies up from the surface of the road. Maintain
a safe distance between vehicles and obey the speed limit.

through the construction project on VT 12A, contact

VT 12A will continue to be monitored for dust and potholes
throughout the week and over the weekends.
Week of September 4th, 2017
Labor Day Holiday Weekend – In observance of Labor Day,
no work will be performed on the project from Saturday,
September 2 through Monday, September 4th, 2017.
Work will resume on Tuesday, September 5th, 2017.
There will be several active construction operations within
the project this week. Expect traffic delays on VT 12A
this week.
Roxbury:
• Paving of the first of two new layers of pavement will
begin on Wednesday, September 6th, weather permitting.
Crews will start just north of Roxbury Village and work
north towards Northfield.
• New traffic signs will be installed between Warren
Mountain Road and Cram Hill Road.
Northfield:
• Reclaiming operations will continue from the
Northfield Country Club to the north end of the project.
VT 12A will continue to be monitored for dust and potholes
throughout the week and over the weekends.
Travel will be reduced to one lane with alternating one
way traffic around all operations. Flaggers will be present
to assist in maintaining traffic flow.
Traffic – Traffic delays are expected this week.
It is illegal in VT to use any handheld portable electronic
devices while driving. The law carries fines of up to $200
with points assessed if the violation occurs in a work
zone.
