Girl Scout Cookie Season Gets Underway February 15

BEDFORD, NH — Girl Scouts of the Green and White Mountains (GSGWM) enters the next century of Girl Scouts selling cookies. Troops throughout New Hampshire and Vermont are kicking off this season on January 1, with booth sales in local communities starting February 15. The Girl Scout Cookie Program® teaches essential entrepreneurial skills and powers amazing experiences for girls as the largest girl-led business in the world.
This year, Girl Scout Cookies will sell at $5 a package and as always, 100 percent of the net revenue from GSGWM cookie sales stays local. The Girl Scout Cookie program applies cookie earnings to power amazing experiences for girls through local programming, while girls and their troops decide how to invest in impactful community projects, personal enrichment opportunities, and more. Purchasing Girl Scout S’mores and classic favorites like Thin Mints® and Samoas®, fuels transformative leadership experiences for girls and builds the next generation of female entrepreneurs.
“When our Girl Scouts sell cookies, they are doing so much more. They are developing lifelong skills and taking the lead in their community,” said Patricia K. Mellor, CEO. “Empowering girls to decide how to apply earnings from their sales is an essential part of the program, and is creating the next century of go-getters, innovators, risk-takers, and leaders.”
GSGWM will kick off this year’s cookie season with a Girls Scouts Friends and Family event at the SNHU Arena on Saturday, January 13, with the Manchester Monarchs. For more information on this event or the Girl Scouts Cookie Sale, visit the GSGWM website at www.girlscoutsgwm.org or call 888-474-9686.
