NU Chooses New Trustee

Vice Admiral Patricia A. TraceyVice Admiral Patricia A. TraceyNORTHFIELD, Vt. – Norwich University officials announced that Navy Vice Admiral Patricia A. Tracey (Retired) was elected to the Board of Trustees at the Board’s October 2017 meeting.
In 2004, Vice Admiral Tracey, who was the first woman to reach three-star rank, left the Navy after a distinguished 34-year career. Tracey worked as and subsequently retired from her position as Vice President, Homeland Security and Defense, for HP Enterprise Services, U.S. Public Sector. She also has served as a senior fellow for the Center of Naval Analysis. Currently, she serves as a director of U.S. Steel Corporation and the Armed Forces Benefit Association.
 Tracey received a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from the College of New Rochelle, a Master’s Degree with distinction in Operations Research from the Naval Post Graduate School, and a fellowship with the Chief of Naval Operations Strategic Studies Group. She holds an honorary Doctorate of Letters from Wilson College where she has also served as a member of the Board of Trustees. 
“We are so honored to welcome Admiral Tracey’s expertise to the board of trustees, as we celebrate 200 years of Norwich and focus on positioning Norwich to lead in higher education for the next 30 years,” President Richard W. Schneider said.
