Rock Of Ages Transports 5th Marine Monument to California

The Bellavance Trucks will deliver the monument to the Marine Base at Camp Pendleton California for installation. The total cost of the Monument is $400,000 all raised from donations.
The monument was made by Rock of Ages artisans in Barre and made from black and gray granite inscribed with the names of 2706 Marines, Corpsmen and one Chaplin inscribed on the six panels. They were killed in the Vietnam war over 50 years ago. There are 13 Medal of Honor recipients on the Monument as well as six Vermonters.
The Monument will be delivered on March 29, 2018 which is the National Vietnam War Veterans Day.
The dedication will take place on  Memorial Day, May 28, 2018.
